Currently, Lorna is the only Black, one of a kind baby artist. Lorna's babies are collected by collectors all over the world. Four galleries offer Lorna's OOAK babies. The wait for one of these beautiful babies is approximately 6 months.
Lorna's babies are sculpted using a mixture of super sculpey and fimo clays. Each baby has fully sculpted legs and arms. Every baby has a soft cloth body designed by Lorna and is filled w/ squishy baby fat pellets. Lorna's babies range in length from 18" to 23"
One of the features that sets Lorna Miller-Sands' babies apart is the amazing way she captures the variances in realistic skintones on all of her babies. Even the smallest detail is carefully attended to. From the backs of the ears to the soles of the feet, collectors just cannot get over the realism in the carefully guarded secret of Lorna's coloring methods. Lorna is also well known for capturing a wide variety of expressions - sleeping, laughing, pouting - her ability to capture expressions is endless. |
